Each classroom will receive a Classroom Energy Investigation Kit to demonstrate lessons learned during classroom education. Each kit includes tools and investigative measures to facilitate the classroom-based investigation while remaining consistent with the TEKS requirements. The investigative kit will contain the following tools and devices:

The watt-meter helps students understand how much energy appliances use
The interactive light board helps students compare the energy use of different types of light bulbs
The thermal infrared gun is used for detecting draughts and thermal leaks in bulidings and homes
The solar powered model car demonstrates how energy can be captured from the sun and turned into electrical energy
